4)  On Thursday, December 9th, 6p-10p at Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences.  This is their event in conjunction with Indie-Mart, and in addition to LIFE/STYLE dj-ing, bands AB and the Sea and Boy in the Bubble.  Raul & I are stoked to be asked to dj at this event.  Come party with us and... PENGUINS!  Tickets available on line at the California Academy of Sciences.

Take care and I hope to see you soon.

As an added bonus, Ari will return to the decks for a couple of sets as well.  Get ready to dance.  And DRINK!

EARLY!'s 2nd Birthday Party!/event.php?eid=134444829929353&index=1

Dj Ts & Ame-dj present...

2nd Anniversary Party!

featuring the reunion of FALLOUT (Djs Seijiro & Rantz)
This Friday -  July 30th : 6pm - 10pm
Beauty Bar : 2299 Mission @ 19th

Dear friends,

I never expected EARLY! to last as long as it has, and it seems like it will last for years to come at this rate.  This is all due to you and your desire to have your own party.  So many people helped with this party and have dj'd at this party (many who have gone on to bigger & brighter dj careers or have just enjoyed getting to express themselves behind the decks at least once in this lifetime).  In two years time, that is A LOT of people to list.  Suffice it to say, I thank you all - from the patrons to the djs to the old friends to the new friends to my co-workers at the Beauty Bar.  Two people I would like to thank especially are Greg and Amedee. Whether they know it or not, their passion to do this party with me really keeps it going, and in many ways they are the real ones to thank for EARLY!, not me.

This week EARLY! celebrates its 2nd birthday on Friday.  This is a special occasion for all the reasons you may guess, but for me it will be a special treat because one of my favorite SF crews of all time reunites to dj for the first time in many years - FALLOUTKen & Greg aka djs Seijiro & Rantz aka FALLOUT threw what was considered by many including myself one of THEE BEST PARTIES in all of SF.  It was fun, eclectic, inclusive, etc.  Re-experience the magic and welcome them back to the decks.

Of course, Amedee & I will dj and there will be some TREATS as well.  Come early for those since they are sure to run.  As always, the lovely Jason El D will be behind the bar serving delicious, well made drinks and refreshing beer.

Thanks once again for everything.  It means a lot to me.  See you Friday.

Yours, Ts

Opening Reception for

O U R   G L A S S
new works by Joe Budd

Wednesday, May 12 : 6pm - 9pm
DWR Fillmore, 1913 Fillmore St.
Complimentary Adult Beverages

Dear friends,

For the past few months, I have been organizing photography show of new works by our friend, Joe Budd.  Truth be told he did almost all of the work, but in addition to me, there are many other people involved in this event.

Please come this Wednesday evening to celebrate the opening of his new show.

Joe's new work focuses on the California coast line and examines it's abstract and dynamic qualities.  Having seen some the pieces already, I can tell you that they are beautiful.

50% of the proceeds from the sale of Joe's photographs will benefit Tipping Point Community, a wonderful local organization who's mission is to help alleviate/eliminate poverty in the Bay Area.

In addition to Joe's new photographs, Patrick Trefz, long time photographer for Surfer Magazine, will be projecting some his short films.  Dj Anthony Gordon from Loquat will provide the party music for the evening, and Fred Garcia aka Suckafreeze will be on hand as our event photographer to document it all.

Last but not least, Sam's Chowdermobile will be coming up from Half Moon Bay to sell you delicious seafood from the parking spot out front should you get the munchies.

I hope you all can make it out.  Please feel free to bring friends and spread the word.  It's going to be a fun party!

Take care and I'll see you soon.

Yours, Ts

Dear friends,

Wow!  Thanks for coming out in full force last week and showing us and dj Eug so much love.  We had a wonderful time dancing and drinking with you.  When Eug dropped Lindsay Buckingham's 'Trouble (Prince Language Edit)', it felt like something magical was happening.  Lots of smiles and good times!

With that, we arrive at this Thursday which will be the last weekly edition of LIFE/STYLE.  A lot of variables factored into this decision.  Suffice it to say, this is a good decision for us which will help us expand and do different parties and events.  You can still catch us regularly albeit on a monthly basis (still at Beauty Bar on the first Thursday of each month to be exact).

There was no way that Ari aka dj Oddz could miss the last weekly LIFE/STYLE so she will return to the decks playing classics from her record bag.  We have two special guests this week.  Noel aka dj No-No (Expens!ve) is flying in from NYC bringing the jams you need to hear.  He hasn't dj'd in the Bay Area in a long time so now is a good time to catch up and see what he's up to.  Also, Alex aka dj Cuba Libre will be joining in with all of us providing percussion via his drumpad aka Dr. Avalanche, Jr.  Alex and I have been practicing and you are in for a real treat.  His live drumming adds something really rich to the mix.

From Raul, Ari, and me, Ts, we thank you so much for your support over the past year and half.  As you can imagine, it's difficult to put on a dj night, let alone a weekly that has proven to be very successful.  In the end, we did it all for you and enjoyed seeing you all each week and making many new friends in the process.  Be on the look out for more of our events this summer and beyond.  There's lots in the works, much of it to be finalized in the next couple of weeks.  You can also check in with us via our blog, too, if you can't wait for these email updates:

Take care and please come dance and celebrate with us one more time!

Most sincerely, Ts

19th St.

This morning Stacypants reminded me of Rhea's Market & Deli, specifically their sandwich called 19th Street:

Boar's head medium rare roast beef, vermont cheddar, pepperjack, avocado, champagne vinegar pickled jalapeños, tomatoes, pickles, baby arugula, garlic aioli, Boar's head delicatessen mustard served on Acme organic street roll

After stopping by Vega for a soy latte and chatting with the gang, I couldn't get this sandwich out of my head.  So of course, I got one.  Not as good as the last one I had but very good nonetheless.  I think I had too much cheese on mine - the pepperjack and vermont cheddar were a little overpowering.

Anyway, you should stop by Rhea's and try one of their signature sandwiches like the Korean Steak Sandwich, Katsu Sandwich, or the Vegetarian BBQ Chicken Sandwich.  The Katsu Sandwich is my favorite.

Dear friends,

Well...  I just got back from New York.  It definitely was good to take a little break.  I hung out mostly with No-No (who dj's next week) and caught up with a couple friends.  I mostly took it easy and ate A LOT of food.  5 meals a day with snacks in between.

I went there mainly to catch The Specials show which was much fun if a bit anticlimactic because Terminal 5 is such a horrible venue.  (More about that some other time.)  It was a dream come true to see Terry Hall play with the rest of the band - something I've wanted to see since I first heard The Specials in the early 80's.  He sounded great and was simultaneously cranky, gracious, on-point, bratty, thankful and funny.

While I was away, dj Ren guest dj'd at L/S and by all accounts he ROCKED THE HOUSE.  I wish I could have been there to catch him spin.  He'll be back to guest again, and I will join you on the dance floor to boogie the night away.  Thanks, Ren, for sharing the music!

This week Eug is back.  He had to postpone his regular spot a couple of weeks ago, and this is the make up date.  I can go on and on about Eug and how awesome he is but suffice it to say...  If you've been to his parties like Face or its previous incarnation, I Can't Feel My Face, at SOM, you know to catch every gig he spins at.  If you haven't seen him yet, now is your chance.  He does so many things well and plays music that's close to my heart.  Disco, edits, spacey house, obscure new wave, maybe some italo, French indie, boogie, etc.  Please join us this Thursday for another night of awesomeness!

Lastly, Friday, if you are not busy, come on down to Amedee's & my monthly happy hour gig at Beauty Bar, EARLYBe prepared to get drunk quickly and start dancing while the sun is still outGreg Morantz returns to decks in a guest appearance.  He hasn't played with us in a while, and I'm sure he has some new nuggets to share.

Take care, guys, and I'll see you soon.

Dear friends,

Last week was definitely a little different for us...  Raul took us into outer space while playing some shoe gaze classics, and bon vivant Anthony Gordon gave us some sweet slow jams for us sway and make out to.  Variety is a spice of life, and they reminded me of that.  Thanks for shuffling along with us while putting tax day in the rear view mirror.

This week Renmin Cardorna guest djs with us bringing a variety of dance classics the likes of which you probably haven't heard yet at L/S.  I have an inkling of what he'll play, but I'll save it for you to discover this week.  Rest assured it will be RAD.  If you've haven't heard him spin at his gigs such as Sweaterfunk, you are in for a treat.  Get down there and show him some love on Thursday night!

Enjoy the rest of this week, and I look forward to seeing you all soon.  Lots fun on the horizon including some special events.  Of course, I will keep you posted.  Take care!

Dear friends,

With tax day looming on the horizon, the Mission seemed like a ghost town last Thursday except, of course, for LIFE/STYLE.  It was definitely a later crowd but a great one nonetheless.  Our guest dj Mitch aka Dj Yeah Right! played some fun sets and brought some much appreciated disco, electro and edits.  Good job!

A special thanks to Alex aka Cuba Libre for coming down last minute who performed live percussion via his Roland drum pad.  Timbales, cowbell, 808, etc.!  His drumming added a very rad live element to the mix and got the crowd very pumped up.  Alex and I are practicing with this set up and be on the look out for us to dj/perform more in the future whether it be at L/S or other parties.

This week dear friend, raconteur, paparazzo, etc. Anthony Gordon from Loquat returns for his regular L/S dj slot.  I'm not sure what he's spinning this week but rest assured it will shake your A$$!

As always, Raul and I thank you for your continued support.  See you on Thursday!

Dear friends,

LIFE/STYLE has been very consistent since the start and most of that has been due to each of you on this email list or on our Facebook group or those who follow our blog.  The last few weeks, we've been gaining a lot of momentum related to you guys getting the word out there about Raul's & my dj night as well as the seemingly regular mentions in local print media and area blogs.  We've met many, many new folks lately, and they're a becoming regular faces as well.  I don't think we've ever had a particular style of regular party goer whether it be the indie kid, the mission hipster, the record nerd, the Marina-ite, Tendernobbers, etc.  The only common thread I can make out is that everyone is generally NICE if at times a bit awkward, which is fine by me.

Last week, there were a couple of celebrations in the house: a birthday party and a bachelorette party.  Mix that with our regular crowd, and it was weird but still fun time.  Mitch aka Dj Yeah Right did a couple of impromptu sets and rocked the dance floor with some classic jams.  If you missed him last week, he's back again for his actual guest dj slot with us.  Come on out and show him some love!

As I mentioned last week, Red Stag by Jim Beam is our new liquor sponsor.  Buying drinks made with that stuff is a good, cheap way to get your drink on.  Give it a try if you are so inclined.

Lastly, I want to let you know that this YOUR club.  If any one messes with you in any way, that is not cool.  Surely we're all adults and can handle things on our own, but if anyone steps to you with some awkward game, let Raul or Matt or Josh or me know and we'll handle it for you.  It's easy for us to do, and we prefer it so you can immediately go back to having your good time.

See you Thursday!  Or see you tomorrow night at Raul's monthly live music party at the Make Out Room, Penny Arcade.  Or any number of awesome events going on.  It seems like SF has finally become a good town to go out and party in any day of the week. (Or least better than it ever has been maybe since the mid 90's...)

Bama pointed out that...

...Micke's new flyer is not on the blog.  Well, here you go:

Ideal length for the men with less height...

Lily from SF Station was at Micke's art show and took pictures for their fashion blog.  Pics were posted today which included a couple of lovely one's of Noel & Juliet.  Their pic of me is fine, and the caption reads:
Tony Sison at the Micke Tong art opening at Public Barber Salon. Sison, a DJ for the Beauty Bar, is wearing a Top Man cropped trench that hits just below the waist. This length is ideal for men with less height. Sison also shows how to wear bright colors subtly. His magenta Helmut Lang sweater is bold, but only peeks though, making you want to see more.
I couldn't help but smirk when I read this.

Dear friends,

Last week was so much FUN.  Last Thursday, Kirk rocked the dance floor in his own inimitable style, but the real highlight was Raul's sets.  If you haven't been to L/S recently, you're missing out.  Raul's forging his own distinct style and adding major skills to the mix.  Yes!   After Amedee, Arlo (great debut set, man) and I had a blast with y'all at Early, some of us headed to Eug's relatively new monthly, FACE, at SOM.  We danced hard to his sets as well as guest Prince Language from NYC.

This week it's the core duo - Raul & Ts - rocking the decks as usual.  Come on by and start April right with us and the rest of the Beauty Bar crew.

Eug was originally scheduled for this week's LIFE/STYLE as a lot of you know, but he's had to reschedule.  He'll be back on April 29th with us.  We'll update you with when he'll be back.  In addition to Eug, we've got a some new guest dj's coming on board that we know you'll love as well as our beloved regulars. So stay tuned!

Also, we have a new sponsor - Red Stag by Jim Beam.  In addition to other cheap beverages, try it out.  You can get a great faux Manhattan with this or something akin to a cherry coke.  I tried it; it will get you f*cked up - in a good way.

Thanks for coming out in full force yet again to L/S, Early, and Superrock - ps. Adam P. dropped an awesome guest set!

Take care and see you soon.

Mark Brecke's B/W photos from the L/S 1 Year Anniversary Party:

Dear friends,

Last week proved that you guys were itching to bust out, and YOU DID.  The club was packed, both inside and on the adjacent sidewalks.  Lots of women wearing skimpy summer fashions which certainly made the men of SF very happy.  Actually for a minute or so it felt like it was summer in Manhattan.  So many people were out!  Thanks again for coming and making the night AWESOME.  On a side note, special thanks to Carson for making us a mixtape.  Yes, a mixtape on an actual cassette!  We've been listening to it all week, and it's rad.  (Maybe he should guest dj?!)

Invariably the last week of the month is a busy time for us here at Life/Style.  More often than not, we are hit with the trifecta known as LIFE/STYLE on Thursday, EARLY on Friday, a little break on Saturday, and SUPERROCK on Sunday.

On Tuesday, we celebrate our dear friends, Juliet and MT's birthdays.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Wednesday's new tradition is dinner & some luxury soul at Triple Crown with the SweaterFunk crew.  So good!

L I F E / S T Y L E , Thursday, March 25, 10p-2a, Beauty Bar, 2299 Mission St

This Thursday at LIFE/STYLE, The Selecter dj Kirk returns for his regular spot in our rotation.  Look for him to bring some aspects of other club nights he spins at, but he'll also stretch out with many things you don't hear him spin anywhere else.  Needless to say, we are EXCITED!

On Friday, Amedee and I return for our monthly happy hour party, EARLY!  Debuting this month behind the decks : Arlo from the Junior Panthers!  This party is usually a drunken, dance-y mess.  So come early, stay till the end and make sure you grab a taco or some food from Baobob to soak up the alcohol.

S U P E R R O C K, Sunday, March 28, 9p-2a, Laszlo, 2526 Mission St

Sunday we wind wind down with SUPERROCK.  I'm not exactly sure who is guesting with me for this month's edition.  Maybe Alex will come out with his drum pad and his new timbales?!  Regardless, I'll be playing all the stuff I don't play at my other gigs while Glenn serves up very tasty, well-made cocktails.  Our gracious host Bryan R. will probably get in on the action, too.  As usual, I'll be showing a movie or two.  This time it will be Silence of the Lambs.  It's classic!

See you at one, some, or all of these gigs or at the various other rad things going on in our fine city.

We've been so busy lately with planning various upcoming events that we've neglected to get out our regular email out this week.  Sorry about that!  There will lots to tell about in the coming weeks so keep your eyes open and be ready to party.

There's something in the air.  It's spring fever.  The weather is absolutely stunning and every one is itching to go and do something.  Come on out tonite to party w Raul and me.  It's been a long time since I've seen some of you so now is the time to bust out of your cocoon and get back to it.

Dear friends-

Lots of fun stuff happening behind the scenes at Life/Style...  We're quickly filling up the guest dj spots for the rest of the year, we've got some themed nights up ahead, we've got a variety of cheap booze specials we'll start announcing each week, etc.

Last week was pretty perfect.  Raul and I couldn't have been happier.  We truly were all over the map with our music selections and you guys just went for it.  Also, we met lots of nice new folks and reacquainted ourselves with some past regulars.  I'm sure last week's write up in the SF Guardian didn't hurt either.

Lots of Pisces birthdays going on.  Party with our birthday girls.  This week's special guest dj is our awesome friend, Helena. Her birthday was earlier this week!  She recently moved back here from LA but always was and still is a part the awesome monthly party Louder Than Bombs where you can dance to all things Morrissey.  She definitely will have surprise dance jams for you of the post-punk, indie, brit pop, punk, and pysch variety .  I know we're excited to hear what she has to spin, and Raul & I may just bring some surprises of our own...

Last but not least, come celebrate my lady's birthday.  The lovely & bubbly Miss Danielle celebrates her actual birthday on Friday but wants to get the party started early.  I'm sure you'll see us slow dancing or something sickeningly cute but probably super awesome.

Thanks for reading guys!  We'll see you this week and stayed tuned for lots more events coming up.

ps.  Don't forget to spring forward Saturday night!  Longer days ahead.  Rad ones!

Dear friends,

Last week was so much fun despite the fact that we were STILL recovering from the 1 year anniversary party.

Anthony Gordon rocked the house again so much so that we're trying to figure out his regular spot in our dj rotation.  We'll figure it out soon then announce our regular rotation with The Selecter dj Kirk and Eug (Face).

We are also in the process of bringing some new guest djs into the mix and maybe one more regular and new t-shirt that we're gonna sell.  Add to that, some themed nights and we're well on our way!  (ps. If you didn't get a button, you call or email me with your street address and I'll mail you one.)

We look forward to seeing you every Thursday whenever you can make it.  Spread the word and bring friends.  It's your party!

Lastly, Errrly! got pushed to this week.  Dan Phifer, baby daddy musician extraordinaire/all around good guy, will be guest dj-ing with me this Friday at the Beauty Bar from 6p -10p.  Start the weekend right and hang with us at the best happy hour party EVAR!

Thank you for all your support and love!

Last January, Josh approached me with the idea of doing a weekly Thursday night at the Beauty Bar. Prior to that, I dj'd Friday happy hour there during the party Errrly! which was really successful. I hadn't dj'd a weekly for a long time in SF - since probably the days of Fanclub at the LiPo Lounge in Chinatown with Jason, Trinity, and Tee. I was a little apprehensive, but after consulting a few close friends, I decided to go for it.

For those who don't know, Jessica came up with the name, Noel came up with the logo and initial flyer - Micke with the subsequent flyers. I brought in Raul, and later Ari, to be the regular djs along with me. We did our first gig on Feb.19, 2009. Omar guest dj'd and it was a great success due in large part to the support of our friends and the great staff at the Beauty Bar - Josh, Lee, David, Candice, Matt, Bama, and Aaron.

Over the past year our success was also aided by the MANY guest djs' who have been so kind to share their music with us both here and at Errrly!. Eug, The Selecter Dj Kirk, Anthony Gordon, Dusty DiMercurio, Liz Baca, Rob Matus, Doug Martsch, Paul Allen, Green Figueroa, Amedee Ito, Greg Morantz, Noel Tolentino, Alex Restrepo, Stacy Rodgers, Kylee Swenson, Bootsy Harput, Micke Tong, Matt Stout, Dan Phifer, Helen Jordan, Blue Figueroa, Nathalie Roland, Jessica Gruner, Bryan Ranere, Johnny Landmine, and Michael Caputo. Et cetera, etc. (My apologies if I misspelled your name, I'm frantically trying to get this out.)

Dear friends,

I am still excited about the new year but I am even more excited to dj this
Thursday in celebration of all our beloved Aquarian friends!  Aquarius is my
most compatible sign, so it's no wonder I have so many around me - Blue,
Green, Sheila, Ken, Noe, Fidel, and so many more.  I love you all!

Dj Oddz

Dear friends,

Once again, you've shown that rain won't get you down.  Thanks for coming out to support Rob aka Vinyl Richie at his L/S debut last week.  You danced and danced some more and that always makes us happy.  His sets were filled with forgotten classics, underplayed genres, and little bit of humor.  Great job!

As most of you know, we've been working hard on LIFE/STYLE's 1 Year Anniversary Party.  I'm really proud of what we've accomplished over the past year.  With very little publicity except for this email and facebook, and us placing a flyer in your hand, our success has really been one fueled by a love of music and you guys showing up and spreading the word.  It's very humbling for me to think about.  We've had lots of guest djs - most of them first timers - guests that just love music and have lovingly shared their selections with us.  That's one of the things that makes our party truly unique.

Here's a quick preview of next week's blowout on Feb. 18: Eug, Kirk, Greg, and Amedee guest dj...  Jessica is making caramel corn...  Josh and Bama have come up with a couple of free drink specials.  Something vodka based and possibly champagne...  Candice will probably be in the house giving manicures...  Decorations + balloon drop at midnight...  The Life/Style Crew dressed to the 9's and kicking out the jams!  It's gonna be special, and I hope you can make it out.  Look sharp!  Try and come early for the free drink specials and the sweet treats.  We start at 9pm.  If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please do so HERE.  This will help us with any last minute planning.

Next week, I''ve got a little write up about L/S' history and thank you list for everyone that has made L/S possible.  Thank you once again.  Now...

Let's practice by celebrating our Aquarian friends' birthdays on Thursday with Ari dj-ing.  It's always amazing to hear her selections, and it will be doubly amazing to celebrate our awesome friends' birthdays.

See you soon.

ps. Susan, I'm excited to see you!  Welcome back to SF!

I'm not really one for festivals like Coachella (although I attended the first one), but I was tempted to go this year because The Specials w Terry Hall (one of my all time faves) will be playing.  But then Noel brought this Terminal 5 to my attention and now I'm gonna try and make that.

See you in NYC at Terminal 5 on April 21st?

Dear friends,

Wow!  You guys came out in droves last week.  A few highlights you may have missed...  Anthony from Loquat played some of his best sets yet, Raul singing Lou Reed's Satellite of Love to close Life/Style, Amedee rocking some serious new wave jams, Clay making his dj debut (amazing job... he's better than a lot of djs who been playing for years... really), and a crowded Laszlo gasping at the razor wire pit scene in Suspiria.

This week, Rob aka Vinyl Richie makes his debut at Life/Style.  The man is a skilled and prolific dj who you have probably caught rocking dance floors all over the Bay Area.  Currently, he's been doing some one-offs and holding it down with the Eddy Bauer at Upgrade, Sweaterfunk crew at LiPo Lounge on Sunday and Triple Crown on Wednesday happy hour.  Expect him to stretch out and give his interpretation of the L/S sound.  Come on out and show him some love.  And while you're at it, check out his blog, Hear The Sounds - you'll probably learn something rad.

On Wednesday at the Makeout Room, Raul's latest installment of Penny Arcade happens.  This month's awesome line up includes

And lastly, save Feb. 18th on your calendars and plan on coming out in full force.  It's our 1 year anniversary party.  We'll be starting early at 9pm so drop by early for sweet treats by Sugartits and complimentary vodka cherry cokes.  Eug (Face), Kirk (Concrete Jungle, In-N-Out, Sweaterfunk) Rantz (Fallout) and Amedee dj with the L/S regulars.  There is also an awesome giveaway which I'll talk more about next time.

Have a great week, remember to support SF night life, and see you soon.

Dear friends,

Well...  I'm halfway through my events for the week.  I've got a couple more to go.

Tonite is Errrly! which back for it's monthly installment at Beauty Bar.  You all know how fun it is so I don't need to talk about that per se.  What I will say is that we are super stoked to have Clay Stafford spin some of his favorites for us.  This is his debut dj gig here or anywhere for that matter.  Also, we are honored to have Amedee Ito return for another guest set.  She has some of the best original vinyl out there and has no problem playing her collection for your party enjoyment.

*** On SUNDAY, I dj at monthly gig at Laszlo, SUPERROCK.  I start at 9p and go till close.  This is the night where I play music w guitars.  Maybe you can dance to it may you can't.  That isn't the point.  Think the Kinks, girl groups, Bob Seger, Sonic Youth, 60's soul, The Creation, Arcade Fire, The Smiths, Steely Dan, Phoenix, Can, Scorpions, America, Girls, Interpol, Eddie Money, Neil Diamond, The Dirtbombs, Phoenix, The Jam, etc.  Bonus, if you bring a 45 that fits somewhere in that mix, I WILL play it.  Also, I'll be playing 'Suspiria' for you to watch. ***

XO, Ts
Happy birthday, kyle! Now playing.... New order, sub culture.

beauty bar, 2299 mission st at 19th

Dear friends,

Last week it seemed like it was a ghost town out there with all the rain and cold out there.  Thanks to those of you who broke out and danced and got drunk at L/S and put up with the obnoxious Australian woman who bugged the hell out of everyone before she got kicked out.  Unfortunately, Kirk was sick that night and was unable to make it out, but he'll be back very soon.  Thursday continues to be my favorite night of the week, and it's all because of you.

This week is the busy week for L/S.  Lots to choose from...

FIRST: On Wednesday, I'm helping put on a photography show at my work which has it's opening from 6p-8p at my work.  The beautiful landscapes that will be exhibited are by Matthew Shallenberger.  Unframed prints will be for sale for $60/each.  Framed prints will be available, too.  There will be drinks and food on hand.

SECOND: On Thursday, the Life/Style soul train continues with a return appearance by Anthony Gordon - local papparazzo and my favorite bass player in Loquat.  Besides his rad music selections, it always seems to be a particularly debaucherous night out when he is involved.  In other words, GOOD TIMES!  Maybe he'll preview some new Loquat jams, perhaps?

THIRD: On Friday from 6p-10p at the Beauty Bar, thee best happy hour in SF returns for it's monthly appearance.  One of the world's finest dj's, Amedee Ito, slays the dance floor again with all the original vinyl you wish you had.  If you haven't heard her dj at her gig at the Casanova, now is your chance.  Making his debut behind the decks...  Dj Clay Stafford.  Yup, drink a lot, dance to rad choons.  I'm guessing you might hear some Eurythmics and Holy Ghost and America and etc.  Sounds like an epic start to the weekend.

THE LAST: On Sunday, I dj at my monthly gig at Laszlo, SUPERROCK.  I start at 9p and go till close.  This is the night where I play music w guitars.  Maybe you can dance to it; maybe you can't.  That isn't the point.  Think the Kinks, Bob Seger, Sonic Youth, The Creation, Arcade Fire, The Smiths, early rock-n-roll, Steely Dan, Magnetic Fields, Can, Scorpions, Bauhaus, America, Girls, Interpol, Eddie Money, Neil Diamond, The Dirtbombs, Phoenix, The Jam, etc.  Bonus, if you bring a 45 that fits somewhere in that mix, I WILL play it.  Also, I'll be playing 'Suspiria' for you to watch.

So... That's a lot to do.  Join me at one, some or all of these events.  There will be even more to come in February.  And if you ever have the chance to go to the Face or Sweaterfunk parties, you should go to those, too.  Why?  Because they are RAD.

love, Ts
