Last January, Josh approached me with the idea of doing a weekly Thursday night at the Beauty Bar. Prior to that, I dj'd Friday happy hour there during the party Errrly! which was really successful. I hadn't dj'd a weekly for a long time in SF - since probably the days of Fanclub at the LiPo Lounge in Chinatown with Jason, Trinity, and Tee. I was a little apprehensive, but after consulting a few close friends, I decided to go for it.

For those who don't know, Jessica came up with the name, Noel came up with the logo and initial flyer - Micke with the subsequent flyers. I brought in Raul, and later Ari, to be the regular djs along with me. We did our first gig on Feb.19, 2009. Omar guest dj'd and it was a great success due in large part to the support of our friends and the great staff at the Beauty Bar - Josh, Lee, David, Candice, Matt, Bama, and Aaron.

Over the past year our success was also aided by the MANY guest djs' who have been so kind to share their music with us both here and at Errrly!. Eug, The Selecter Dj Kirk, Anthony Gordon, Dusty DiMercurio, Liz Baca, Rob Matus, Doug Martsch, Paul Allen, Green Figueroa, Amedee Ito, Greg Morantz, Noel Tolentino, Alex Restrepo, Stacy Rodgers, Kylee Swenson, Bootsy Harput, Micke Tong, Matt Stout, Dan Phifer, Helen Jordan, Blue Figueroa, Nathalie Roland, Jessica Gruner, Bryan Ranere, Johnny Landmine, and Michael Caputo.
